Look closer. Think harder. Choose the sound argument over the clever one.

What most ex-radicals still cannot see
From Harry Stein's How I Accidentally Joined the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy (and Found Inner Peace):
What most ex-radicals still cannot see is that in trashing the university [during student protests of the '60's & '70's] they weren't noble or heroic, but childish and narcissistic--that, for all of their professions of building something new and better, they were mainly interested in tearing down.
Harry Stein speaks first hand as a '60's protester.

I am not in the same league as "The Scutinator" when it comes to criticing such works, but I did read most of this book in a weekend. I just can't get my mind around the thought process of a liberal. It just makes me want to scream and pull my hair out! It only takes a little common sense to see how off base so many of the thoughts and ideas are.
I am inspired to come to this site today because I happen to be in a work place that is funded by ultra liberals. I have been told once again today that personal responsibility is not the issue. "People are helpless and therefore they need a hand to hold and gently guide them." Anything else is blaming the victim....
Well I wonder how I would feel on the other end, being in a place where I needed a hand to help me through a rough patch and suddenly being called helpless and being told I do even have the skills to wipe my own butt.
IF I did like being told such things, you can guarantee I'd be doing everything possible to see how many ways you would open up you wallet to me while I sit on the butt you just wiped for me.
Forgive me if I am not very elogent but blowing off a little steam is a good thing.
